Julianna goes live
We will be at Alderley Edge Farmers Market on Sunday 11th November and Sunday 9th December, from 10am - 1.30pm at the Festival Hall in Alderley Edge.
Come along, say hello and have a look at all the lovely things; including unique Christmas presents and beautiful decorations.
New range of paintings
Lisa Derevycka has been part of Julianna Grove Presents the handmade collection, since it started and this month we received her new range of paintings. All the work in this collection is created from natural pigments, such as stone, chalk, ochre, saffron and gold leaf. Using the natural resources around us Lisa is truly an environmental artist, creating inspiring and beautiful work from nature. Her work would make a beautiful addition to any home, an ideal gift or a unique wedding present.
Friends and finds
Here at Julianna Grove Presents we’ve been having a busy summer, sourcing new beautiful things for the collection handmade by some seriously talented artists, we’ll post again soon about our latest find. As we develop and grow the collection is beginning to get a rather good reputation for stylish designs and for ethical and eco products. This is great as it is all true. It’s just lovely when someone else thinks so too. So we thought we would let you know some of the groups and directories which have been endorsing us. If you get chance check them out as they all have some interesting information.
New artist joins the collection
Suzanne Smith is an emerging designer specialising in making unusual felt cakes and chocolates, striking table decorations and exquisite jewellery. Inspired by the tradition of taking Afternoon Tea, Suzanne’s decorative objects and favours are suitable for a variety of occasions, including Weddings, Civil Partnerships, parties and events as well as making unique presents.
We are delighted to have her work in our collection.

Julianna steps into the real world
We have a stall in the craft marquee at the Cheshire Show on 19th & 20th June.
For the first time this collection of beautiful things can be seen, and bought, in the real world and not just on the internet. The Cheshire Show is a great event packed with many interesting things, such as shows, stalls and lovely food. We’ve been having a small trip down memory lane as some of us here at Julianna Grove Presents have fond memories of attending this event in our youth. There is one worker here who, as a teenager, went dressed as a medieval princess - wimple and all! Things may be a little less outlandish this year but it should still be a fun couple of days…
If you’re in the area please pop along to say hello, it would be lovely to meet you.
3dinburgh
The six cities design festival draws to a close this weekend, although there are a few exhibitions that continue for a while longer. We think that it’s been an interesting festival with some inspirational events. Our favourite was the 3dinburgh, a showcase of work by designers from the capital and its surrounding areas. We may have been influenced slightly by the fact that the lovely organisers invited us to their launch party, gave us some delicious pear cider and that one of the exhibitors was the amazingly talented Katherine Emtage whose beautiful bags are part of the Julianna Grove Presents collection….
Six cities - design festival
Six cities - design festival
17 May - 3 June 2007
The six cities of Scotland - Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and Stirling—will host the country’s first nationwide international design festival, promoting and celebrating Scottish design.
The Festival presents an imaginative programme of exhibitions, events, keynote speakers, talks, tours and more, taking place alongside two major continuing programmes - Design into Business and Learning.
The Festival’s national exhibition - The Scottish Show 07 - is the most important expo of Scottish design ever, opening at The Lighthouse on 17 May.
Design into Business is a programme for the business community and designers alike. The programme will demonstrate how good design is good business and will include master classes, online resources, case studies and international initiatives, culminating in a major design conference.
The Learning programme focuses on education and design communities, to encourage innovation, business knowledge, creative entrepreneurship, talent incubation and talent retention. It will play a major role in connecting educational bodies with the design industry.

Julianna Grove’s first post
Welcome to musings from the mind of Julianna Grove.
I am interested in creativity, imagination, beautiful things, interior design, original thoughts, green issues and fair trade.
I believe ~
~that beauty and elegance is still possible when working with an ecological focus
~that it should be possible to make a living without damaging other people or the environment
~in voting with my wallet – shop with independent retailers, buy local produce, support independent designers, boycott brands and shops whose policies are unethical – make a difference every day.
Julianna Grove Presents is my online boutique full of original and beautiful gifts and home-ware, each product has been handcrafted by the designer. In an age of increasing uniformity I aim to present an alternative to the soulless tide of mass produced merchandise. No two products are identical, no factories or cheap labour are used and no one makes a huge profit at the expense of anyone else.
