Created from all natural pigments, this painting is an explosion of colour drenching the paper. The main pigment used is ‘garance’ (lat. Rubia tinctorum) a plant which is grown in France, the inside of which is a deep red. This is combined with ochre, saffron and 22carat gold leaf. The painting is framed in a light birch frame, with a glass front protection.
